Parties and Events

No one does birthday parties like Evolution Climbing. We invented rock climbing birthday parties over 30 years ago and provide incredible entertainment for adventurous youngsters.  If you want to give your child a party they will never forget, then our parties are for you.

We have a 15 seat mini bus and can even arrange transfers for you group - Phone for details.

Indoor Parties

Held at our amazing indoor centre, start by spending time with one of our hugely experienced instructors learning how to climb with ropes in our fully equipped teaching area. Every child will get the opportunity to attempt a variety roped climbs and experience the responsibility of protecting a climber by learning to belay. The party then moves into our huge bouldering area and, following a short safety briefing from the instructor, children have the freedom to climb completely unrestricted by ropes in the bouldering area. There is also an exciting tunnel to explore if your'e brave enough. When everyone’s exhausted you can have a party tea in our well equipped cabin to finish off your special day. 

Outdoor Parties

50 years ago the Tullis family started teaching children to climb. Over the years we developed a system of teaching that combined fun activity with learning and is now used by virtually every instructor working in Southern England. We continue to develop and adapt this system which lends its self perfectly to birthday parties.

Held at Harrison's Rocks, Groombridge. You will spend two hours exploring these amazing rocks with an instructor teaching you how to climb correctly and challenging you with interesting problems, climbs, squeezes and races. Its masses of adventurous fun and the children will be talking about it for months afterwards.

Events

Evolution hosts various events throughout the year, everything from competitions, fun days to corporate events. If you would like to book the centre for your exclusive use, and who wouldn't want a climbing centre all to themselves! On Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays from 6pm - 10pm, the centre can be booked for your exclusive use. We don't have a limit on numbers (within reason). You can use all the facilities Bouldering, Roped Climbing, Abseiling, Woody and Cabin/Lecture Room. Obviously you can climb but you can also plug in an iPod - crank the music up and party. All for only £300 and we will even give you an instructor* for 2 hours for free. This is extremely popular with Scout groups who can share the cost with other troops or bring in different ages over the 4 hours.

* Instructors can teach a maximum of 10 students at a time, extra instructors and hours available at standard rates
