Have little or no experience with climbing and bouldering?
Why not let one of our experienced and fully qualified climbing instructors give you a lesson which will enable you to be competent with aspects of climbing such as safely using safety equipment, belaying, knots and technique.
You can learn indoors at our state of the art climbing centre or outside on the local crags.
As the acknowledged experts, and with a heritage stretching back over 50 years we know a thing or two about teaching people to climb, We understand that everyone has different talents, and by starting our outdoor personal tuition sessions with low level Bouldering/Weaseling we get a feel for individual abilities. We can then choose climbs appropriate to the individual participants as well as the group as a whole.
We place special emphasis on starting with the basics, teaching all aspects of climbing - from tying on to belaying. It is very important to us that that all students leave us having learnt, rather than just having had a short taster. For beginner's we offer a far more detailed introduction to rock climbing than you would get from booking on a normal course.
For the more experienced climber we can help with rope work skills, movement on rock, or just keeping you up to date with the latest advances in climbing equipment and techniques. We could also help if you want to learn a specific skill - Abseiling, Leading, Self Rescue or a specific climb you just can't manage.
Every climber always has more to learn, even us! We can fill the gaps in your repertoire and make you a safer more careful and knowledgeable climber. Personal Tuition costs just £35 per hour, plus your entry fees. You can share the cost of the instructor between up to 10 people. Please bear in mind that it is much better to learn in a small group with your friends;
Indoors you can have from a minimum of 1 hours instruction but outside you need at least 3 hours to make it worthwhile, hopefully after that you will be climbing independently.
